Detailed Itinerary :

Day 01 : Marrakesh > Tizi N’Tichka > Ait Ben haddou > Ouarzazate

In the morning you will meet your driver/guide, and we leave to Ouarzazaate via the High Atlas Mountains: (Tizi N’tichka, 2260 m altitude). Today you will enjoy the wonderful scenery over the high Atlas Mountains and appreciate the remarkable Berber villages before you get to Ait Ben haddou kasbah. The largest kasbah in Morocco (we stop for a visit) a Berber castle where many movies have been shot such as : the one who wants to be the king, Babel, the kingdom of heaven and Prince of Persia…etc. Last but not least, it was built by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami in the late 19th century; It’s now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site.

Lunch might be in the kasbah before we continue to Ouarzazate. Thereafter, we drive to the Hollywood of Morocco in Ouarzazate, here you have the option of visiting the studio to see props used in some movies you might have seen before, such as «Gladiator» or «Jewel of the Nile». Thus, we visit taourirt kasbah then check into your accommodation.

Day 02 : Ouarzazate > Skoura > Dades Gorge > Todra gorge

After breakfast, depart to skoura to visit the amredhyle kasbah then head towards fascinating Dades and Rose valley. Our first stop will be at skoura in amredhyle kasbah for A visit. Therefore, we’ll continue to the village of kalaa M’gouna. It’s famous for rose fields and roses products. Roses festival is held here every year in May for 7 days. Since the road is full of thousands of kasbahs you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take memorable pictures. After lunch in Kalaa M’gouna, we continue driving to Dades gorge where you will enjoy seeing the beautiful rocks’ formation called «the monkey fingers» and standing kasbah of Ait Yul. Day 03 : Dades gorge > Todra gorge > Merzouga Desert > Camel trekking

Our 5 days desert tour to Merzouga goes on after enjoying a traditional delicious Breakfast. We will then take a drive through roads lined with ancient kasbahs and many attractive Berber villages at the boumalne Dades. You will be enjoying the amazing scenery along the way of the remaining of fortified villages that were hosting the caravan roads till the early 20th century. Our first spot will be in Tissadrine taking some pictures for the beautiful panorama of the dades valley, and then monkey fingers. Therefore, we head to Tinghir within a 15 km breath-taking valley full of palm trees. Experience the high walls of grey and pink rock around the road, as we continue trekking along the 300 m high canyons.  

Thereafter, we continue driving toward the Erg Chebbi dunes located in Merzouga Desert, and you’ll enjoy your lunch in Tinejdad. As soon as you arrive at the popular dunes of Erg Chebbi, we are pleased to prepare camels. There is an hour time for you to experience camel riding and spectate the beautiful sunset while riding camel heading to camp oasis where is the luxurious tent that you will stay there overnight. As you’ll watch the sunset in style heading to the oasis where a camp is located. Spending a night living by traditional nomadic tents inside or sleeping under spectacular starry sky outside the tent at Merzouga desert dune that will give you remarkable memory in the desert trip exploring. You can also spend your night playing drums with the experienced camel guide.

Day 04 : Merzouga 4×4 tour > Gnaoua house > Visit Nomadic tribes

After enjoying an amazing sunrise, you will have to go back to your camp for breakfast and shower before the largest tour starts. Today we will drive around the desert to discover unexplored places in the Erg Chebbi desert. On our way to the desert villages (Ex : khamlia, Merdani, Mifis), we might meet some locals with different desert animals (Ex : Goats, Camels, Foxes, … etc.). As well, some desert reptiles and mammals. Our first stop is in the khamlia village in a traditional home built of thick earthen bricks made from a mixture of clay to enjoy the live Gnaoua Music which is played by the locals. Set off to another sight in some mountains near the dunes for a panoramic view of the sand dunes and also from where you can start seeing the border between Morocco and Algeria.

We’ll continue driving toward the old Berber villages and some nomadic families, where we’ll be hospitably welcomed with a cup of mint tea while enjoying the silence of the desert. Later we drive back to Khamlia village where we’ll have lunch in a local restaurant (Berber nomad pizza). After lunch, we’ll continue our excursion to visit Yasmina lake, which will be the last spot. Then drive to our hotel next to the golden sands dunes.

Day 05 : Merzouga > Erfoud > Ziz valley > Midelt > Ifrane > Fes

On the last day of our desert tour Marrakech to Fes. An early sunrise experience is recommended from the Erg chebbi sand dunes or your hotel. Enjoying the spectacular sunrise may be the best sunrise you see in your life. Thereafter, you will have to go back for breakfast and shower.

Today we’ll continue our trip to fes via Ziz valley, the second-largest river in Morocco which crosses the whole Morocco to Algeria. Then cross the middle Atlas Mountains where you’ll enjoy amazing views, lunch break at a restaurant. In the afternoon we go towards the next spot at Cedar forest or Michlifen where we will take a short walk to see the wild monkeys and take some pictures. We will stop at Ifrane. He was also very attentive to our needs of what time we wanted to eat and stay at each location. Moreover, we learned a lot about the culture and met some locals along the way to try non-tourist food. Besides, Upgrading to the luxury camp in the desert was well worth it. thanks hamme for making this a memorable 5 days from Marrakech and for ensuring we felt safe at all times.

An unforgettable experience, we would do it once again for sure: all the spots from Marrakech to Fes were so fantastic and worth visiting i meant it. Especially the fascinating sunset and sunrise in Merzouga dunes, the camel ride experience and the night in the camp. Sooo exciting!
