Detailed Itinerary :

Day 01: Fes » Ifrane » Cedar Forest » Dades Valley

In the morning you’ll meet your driver/guide, and then back on the road heading back for Fes. It’s a long drive today however there will be plenty of stops to appreciate the ever-changing Moroccan landscape along the way. Giant pine trees, wind past olive groves, shepherds tending to their flocks and also Cedar Forest – all with views of the High Atlas Mountains in the distance. En route stop in Ifrane, a beautiful town often likened to a Swiss Alpine resort. Afterward, continue to Midelt via the Cedar Forest where you enjoy a short walk to see the Barbary macaques and take some photos.

 After a leisurely lunch, then we head out towards the beautiful Dades Valley. This area offers up scenery like no other – sprawling green valleys give way to otherworldly rock formations carved out by the wind. Your hotel offers a delightful pool and terrace overlooking the valley, so take some time to sit back and soak in the ethereal views.

Day 02: Dades Valley » Todra Canyon » Tinejdad » Merzouga » Camel trekking

On the second day of our 4-Day tour from Fes to Merzouga goes on after breakfast. Drive a bit further to Tissadrine to the beautiful panoramic view of the Dades valley, and then monkey fingers. Afterward, depart from Dades gorge on a journey through roads lined with ancient Kasbahs to Todra gorge. Surrounded by towering vertical limestone cliffs reaching heights of 300m, it is known as Morocco’s Grand Canyon. Moreover, the charm of Todra lies in its changing colors as the sun slowly moves from east to west. There’ll be time to marvel at this sight before you continue your journey to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Next, stop for lunch in the village of Tinejdad.

As soon as you arrive at the popular dunes of Erg Chebbi, one of the world’s iconic landscapes, with towering dunes up to 500ft in height, ride camels to your campsite. Taking in the charming scenery of the sand dunes surrounding you along the way. Make sure to catch the sunset in the heart of the desert. In addition to that, enjoy a nice dinner, listen to traditional Berber music, spend an amazing night under the stars, and digest the desert in all its beauty that will give you remarkable memories of the desert trip exploring.

Day 03: 4×4 Merzouga Desert tour: Khamlia «Gnawa House»

After a truly stunning sunrise, freshen up and breakfast in your camp. This morning, explore the small village of Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Along the way you might see some wild animals such as Fennec fox, Camels, …etc. Likewise, some desert reptiles and mammals. Furthermore, en route stop in khamlia village, a traditional house built of thick earthen bricks made from a mixture of clay and straw. Enjoy the live Gnawa Music which is played by the locals.

Visit Nomadic Tribes » Desert Oasis

 Set off for a breath-taking panoramic view of Erg Chebbi Dunes from the Galb Nass Mountains. From Here, you’ll also start to see your first glimpse of Morocco’s nomadic Berbers – travelling across the desert and often staying in make shift tents as they head to their next destination. Stopping en route to share tea with some welcoming local families in a Berber tent while enjoying the silence of the Sahara Desert.

 After that, drive back to Khamlia village, where you’ll enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant, you may like to try Medfouna (also called “Berber pizza”). It’s a traditional stuffed bread prepared with meat, herbs and spices by the nomadic people. The Sahara excursion ends in the Oasis of Merzouga, a small patch of vegetation surrounded by desert, then return to your beautifully decorated riad. This afternoon why not walk to Erg chebbi dunes to witness sunset again or try out Quad Bike Tour or even Dune Buggy Ride, it is a wonderful experience that you should not miss out.

Day 04: Merzouga » Erfoud » Ziz valley » Errachidia » Midelt » Fes

Morocco Sahara tour departs from Marrakech or fez. Stay overnight on the half route in the desert (1 night or 2 nights) and end wherever you want Fez or Marrakesh. Furthermore, the total distance from Marrakech back to Marrakech is 1124 kilometers and from Marrakech to Fez is 1033 kilometers.

  • 2 Day desert tour: Spend overnight in the Sahara, however you might not be able to see the sunset, starry sky and sunrise due to 14 hours’ drive and the weather.
  • 3 Day desert tour: (depending on the starting point “fez or Marrakech”) The first night will be spent in the dades gorge (half way) and Next night is in the desert. Even Though, you might not be able to see the erg chebbi sand dunes till 5 pm. So, for a 3 day desert tour, there is only one night in the Sahara for about 14 hours, arranged to stay in a desert camp. If the weather is good, you can see the sunset, starry sky and an amazing sunrise as well.

> DISADVANTAGES OF THE 2 DAY ITINERARY:

  1. Few stops, fewer opportunities to take photos, not enough time to enjoy the sunset as the arrival will be late in the evening, can watch starry sky, and sunrise (depending on weather conditions) but departure will be earlier.

> DISADVANTAGES OF THE 3 DAY ITINERARY:

  1. A round tour of 14 hours, there is only one opportunity to watch the sunset, starry sky, and sunrise. If the weather is cloudy, you will miss it.
  2. There are at least 7 hours of sleep out of 14 hours, 4-5 hours of daylight and the rest of the time is night. As well as short time to take some photos and wander around.

> ADVANTAGES OF THE 4 DAY ITINERARY :

  1. The 4 day desert tour allows you to spend a full 24 hours in the desert and have plenty of time to experience the Sahara Desert deeply.
  2. If the weather is cloudy on the first day, then no worries as there’s one more day left to catch up the sunset, starry sky and also sunrise.
  3. The 4 day desert tour has 2 nights in the Sahara desert. We will arrange one night in the desert entrance Camp and next night in a hotel.
  4. Experience the culture and lifestyle of the Berber people in the desert for more than 24 hours and free time to relax and take photos of dunes, Camels, Goats and Foxes as well.

> SUMMER HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENT :

  • Due to the temperature from June to mid-August. About 37-44 degrees C, only 3 days/ 2 nights of desert tours will be arranged during this period.

Is it possible to pay the total amount with credit card or PayPal?
