Detailed Itinerary :

Day 01 : Fez > Ifrane > Azrou > Errachidia > Dades gorge

Our staff will pick you up depending on where you are (Ex: hotel, riad, bus station or airport) in fez. After that we start our 4 days fes desert trip to Merzouga driving through the middle atlas and the cedar woods of azrou. Passing by Moroccan Switzerland «Ifrane», A charming ski resort and Azrou an important handicraft center specialized in the work of cedar wood. Stopping at the cedar forest, taking some pictures. Then continue to Zaida. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the Errachidia city. Once we finish lunch in Midelt, we drive along the spectacular scenery through Tinghir to Dades gorge, where you will see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “Monkey fingers”. Day 02 : Dades gorge > Todra Canyon > Merzouga Sahara > Camel trekking

Our morocco sahara tour to Merzouga goes on after enjoying a traditional, delicious breakfast. We will then take a drive through roads lined with ancient kasbahs and many attractive Berber villages at the boumalne Dades. You will be enjoying the amazing scenery along the way of the remaining fortified villages. In addition to that, the regions were hosting the caravan roads till the early 20th century. Our first spot will be in Tissadrine taking some pictures for the beautiful panorama of the dades valley, and then monkey fingers. Thereafter, we head to Tinghir within a 15 km breath-taking valley full of palm trees. Moreover, experience the high walls of grey and pink rock around the road, as we continue trekking along the 300 m high canyons.

Thereafter, we continue driving toward the Erg Chebbi dunes located in Merzouga. You’ll enjoy your lunch in Tinejdad. As soon as you arrive at the popular dunes of Erg Chebbi, we are pleased to prepare camels and there is an hour time for you to experience camel ride and spectate the beautiful sunset while riding camel heading to camp oasis where is the luxurious tent that you will stay there overnight. As you’ll watch the sunset in style heading to the oasis where a camp is located. Spending a night living by traditional nomadic tents inside or sleeping under spectacular starry sky outside the tent at Merzouga desert dune that will give you remarkable memory in the desert trip exploring. You can also spend your night playing drums with the experienced camel guide.

Day 03 : Merzouga 4×4 tour > Gnaoua house > Visit Nomadic tribes

After enjoying an amazing sunrise, you will have to go back to your camp for breakfast and shower before the largest tour starts. Today we will drive around the desert to discover unexplored places in Erg chebbi desert. On our way to the desert villages (Ex : khamlia, Merdani, Mifis). We might meet some locals with different desert animals (Ex : Goats, Camels, Foxes, … etc.), also some desert reptiles and mammals. Our first stop is in the khamlia village in a traditional home built of thick earthen bricks made from a mixture of clay to enjoy the live Gnaoua music which is played by the locals.

Set off to another sight in some mountains near the dunes for a panoramic view of the sand dunes and also from where you can start seeing the border between Morocco and Algeria. A little while later, we’ll continue driving toward the old Berber villages and some nomad families, where we will be hospitably welcomed with a cup of mint tea while enjoying the silence of the desert. At this moment we drive back to Khamlia village where we will have lunch in a local restaurant (Berber nomad pizza). After lunch, we will continue to visit Yasmina lake which will be the last spot then drive to our hotel next to the golden sands dunes.

Day 04 : Merzouga village > Tafilalet valley > Errachidia > Michlifen > Ifrane > Fez

After breakfast at the hotel and these lovely memories you have spent in the Sahara desert. We’ll drive back to fes with a few stops along the way for panoramic views, photos and free time for lunch, …etc. arrival at noon to fez.   • 2 Day desert tour : Spend overnight in the sahara, however you might not be able to see the sunset, starry sky and sunrise due to 14 hours drive and the weather.
  • 3 Day desert tour : (depending on the starting point “fez or Marrakech”)The first night will be spent in the dades gorge (half way) and Next night is in the desert. Even Though, you might not be able to see the erg chebbi sand dunes till 5 pm. So for a 3 day desert tour, there is only one night in the Sahara for about 14 hours, arranged to stay in a desert camp. If the weather is good, you can see the sunset, starry sky and an amazing sunrise as well.

Fantastic Custom Morocco Sahara tour

4 days fes desert trip itinerary was well organized, covered the main southern sites in Morocco plus the incredible, diverse geography and also rich culture. According to The accommodations were high quality. Furthermore, The night in the Sahara was unbelievable, includes camel experience. Besides, our driver Ali was professional, courteous, punctual, responsive and also knowledgeable. Furthermore, the tour was managed by Moha quickly and efficiently. Last but not least, he provided everything I needed from the practical, such tipping practices.

We’re considering Dubai next year and if we go back, will use them again for another adventure.

Wonderful Moroccan experience. fantastic 4 days fes to merzouga desert dunes with my wife and two kids. our guide Said was superb, treated us like family, and also took good care of us. Additionally, He speaks many languages and kept us entertained throughout the trip. he’s funny too. had a great stay in luxury camp, with live music and bonfire, under the stars.
