1st Day: Land in Errachidia » Merzouga Desert (129km)

Welcome to Morocco! On arrival at Errachidia Airport, you will be met by your personal Driver/Guide and transferred to your campsite in Merzouga, approximately 2 hours drive. Enjoy a nice dinner, followed by live Berber music around an open fire and spend an amazing night under the stars, digest the desert in all its beauty that will give you remarkable memories of the desert trip exploring.

2nd Day: 4×4 Merzouga Desert Excursion » Todra Gorge » Dades Valley (250km)

Early in the morning, you’ll set off by camel for a 20-30 minutes trek out onto the dunes of Erg Chebbi to witness the sunrise. After a truly stunning sunrise, freshen up and breakfast in your camp, then start to discover the small village of Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Begin with the khamlia village, a traditional house built of thick earthen bricks made from a mixture of clay and straw, then enjoy the live Gnawa Music which is played by the locals.

 Later-on, set off for a breathtaking panoramic view of Erg Chebbi Dunes from the Galb Nass Mountains. From Here, you’ll also start to see your first glimpse of Morocco’s nomadic Berbers – travelling across the desert and often staying in make shift tents as they head to their next destination. Stopping en route to share tea with some welcoming local families in a Berber tent while enjoying the silence of the Sahara Desert.

 After that, depart Merzouga and head towards the gorge of Todra on the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Surrounded by towering vertical limestone cliffs reaching heights of 300 m to form one of the most dramatic and also spectacular natural sights in Morocco. Moreover, its charm lies in its changing colors as the sun slowly moves from east to west. There’ll be time to marvel at this sight before you continue your journey to the beautiful Dades Valley. After breakfast, drive a bit further to Tissadrine to the beautiful panoramic view of the Dades valley, and then the beautiful rocks’ formation called «Monkey fingers». Afterwards, we head off along the road of The Rose Valley and a Thousand Kasbahs en route to Ouarzazate – the Hollywood of North Africa. Stop in the Rose valley in Kalaat M’gouna, where roses bloom in profusion in springtime. There will be the opportunity to stop to see the variety of rose products which are produced by the locals. Continue on to Hollywood of North Africa – Ouarzazate, known as the gate of the desert and also famous for being the filming location for many other Hollywood blockbusters and famous TV shows. On arrival, visit the Atlas Studio (Optional), it’s one of the largest studios in the world.

 Thereafter, we hit the road again to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a stunningly well-preserved medieval village which has famously featured in many blockbuster movies, including Gladiator, The living daylights and many more.
