Detailed Itinerary :
Our staff will pick you up from wherever you are (Ex: hotel, riad, bus station or airport) in Fes. Then we start our 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, driving through the middle atlas and the cedar woods of azrou. Passing by Moroccan Switzerland «Ifrane». A charming ski resort and azrou an important handicraft center specialized in the work of cedar wood. Stopping at the cedar forest in order to take some photos. Thus, continue to Zaida, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the Errachidia city.
Once we finish lunch in Midelt, we drive along the spectacular Ziz valley. Seeing the panoramic views along the way. Continuation to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Passing from the road of Paris Dakar, tent of Berber nomad who living in the solitude of the Sahara. As soon as you arrive at the popular dunes of Erg Chebbi, we are pleased to prepare camels and there is an hour time for you to experience camel riding and spectate the beautiful sunset while riding camel heading to camp oasis where is the luxurious tent that you will stay there overnight, as you watch the sunset in style heading to the oasis where a camp is located.
Spending a night living by traditional nomadic tents inside or sleeping under spectacular starry sky outside the tent at Merzouga desert dunes, that will give you remarkable memory in the desert trip exploring. You can also spend your night playing drums with the experienced camel guide.
After enjoying an amazing sunrise, you will have to go back to your camp for breakfast and shower before the largest tour starts. Today we will drive around the desert to discover unexplored places in the Erg chebbi desert. On our way to the desert villages (Ex: khamlia, Merdani, Mifis). We might meet some locals with different desert animals (Ex: Goats, Camels, Fennec, … etc.) also some desert reptiles and mammals. Our first stop is in the khamlia village in a traditional home built of thick earthen bricks made from a mixture of clay to enjoy the live Gnaoua music which is played by the locals. Then set off to another sight in some mountains near the dunes for a panoramic view of the sand dunes and also from where you can start seeing the border between Morocco and Algeria.
We’ll continue driving toward the old Berber villages and some nomadic families, where we will be hospitably welcomed with a cup of mint tea while enjoying the silence of the desert. At this moment we drive back to Khamlia village where we will have lunch in a local restaurant (Berber nomad pizza). After lunch, we’ll go on to visit Yasmina Lake, which will be the last spot. Then drive to our hotel next to the golden sand dunes.
After breakfast, we’ll leave for Tinghir and Todra gorge «The highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco ». Here you’ll have the opportunity to hike along its valley. Then we continue driving through the Boumalne Dades towards Kalaat M’gouna and Ouarzazate. We’ll stop at a beautiful panoramic view of rose valley in Kalaat M’gouna then continue the road to Ouarzazate “Africa Hollywood”. Lunch will be at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben haddou. It’s the granted UNESCO world heritage listing. Moreover, the site has been the setting for many films, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.
Thereafter, our wonderful journey will continue through the majestic Tizi N’Tichka (2260 m altitude) over the High Atlas Mountains, where you can stop also to take cool shots of the panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. Last but not least, we take a break at Berber restaurant for a cup of tea, before reaching your accommodation in Marrakesh where our tour finishes up.

My niece and I did a private three-day-trip from Fes to Merzouga (Sahara Desert), finishing in Marrakech with Hami, spending a night in desert was an unforgettable experience in my life. Over and above that, we enjoyed a great dinner and Berber music with heart-warming people, also watching stars at that moment was just amazing. In addition to that, Hami, our guide and driver, explained us about Moroccan culture and society with a sense of humor and drove safely while the time – We could discover Morocco more, thanks to him, we had lunch made by his wife in his house, being invited by his family was another great experience and really appreciate it.

In the reality we were very impressed with the ability of Morocco tabiarte tours to arrange our 3 days desert trip from fes to Marrakech within a weeks notice, what we can say is that they were flexible, organized, and also very communicative in the booking process and also when we were on the trip, As well as The accommodation and service in the tour was excellent, particularly at the hotel in Boumalne Dades, A highlight for us was the Sahara Desert camp > not to be missed.
