Detailed Itinerary :
Our staff will pick you up from wherever you are (Ex: Hotel, Riad, bus station or airport) in Marrakesh then we start our 2 days Sahara desert tour from Marrakech driving through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views from Tizi N’tichka (2260 m altitude). You will see the Berber farmers working on their terraced farms, herding sheep. Thereafter, we’ll continue driving along the road dotted with many kinds of wonderful Kasbahs (castles). Enjoying several stops along the way before arriving at Todra gorge. Besides, it’s one of the most impressive locations in the south.
The river runs through the gorge of Todra which has formed enormous vertical walls creating a uniquely beautiful paradise for visitors. Then we stop in Tinejdad for lunch break. We drive towards the desert to reach the stunning dunes of Merzouga where we will experience the camel ride through the golden Erg chebbi desert with a break to watch the sunset over the sand dunes, try sand boarding in the sand if you are interested and enjoy the beautiful landscapes… until the sun goes down. Once you arrive at your camp, you will be greeted with a cup of tea and relax till dinner time. Afterwards there will be some traditional Berber drumming music around the fire. Enjoy your beautiful night playing and listening to the music under wonderful sky full stars.
Today as you’re already in the desert it is worth getting up early in the morning to see the sunrise near the camp. After these lovely moments you will have to go back to the camp for breakfast, shower & pack. On the second day, we will continue our tour to Fes via Ziz valley, the second-largest river in Morocco which crosses the whole Morocco to Algeria.
Cross the middle Atlas Mountains where you’ll enjoy amazing views. Lunch break at a restaurant, then in the afternoon we go towards the next spot at cedar forest or Michlifen where we will take a short walk to see the wild monkeys and take some pictures. We will then stop at Ifrane, the little Switzerland of Morocco for a coffee or WS then up to Fes. Probably arrive at Fes in the evening and then drop you off at your accommodation.
