Frequently Asked Questions

Are 5 days enough for Morocco?

While five days may provide a taste of Morocco, it’s important to consider your travel priorities and the specific regions you plan to visit. Besides, if you focus on key destinations like Marrakech, Fes, and the Sahara Desert, you can experience the vibrant culture, historic sites, and unique landscapes within this timeframe.

However, keep in mind that Morocco offers diverse experiences, and additional time allows for a more comprehensive exploration. Consider your interests and preferred pace when planning your itinerary.

How many days is ideal in Morocco?

To fully experience the diverse beauty and culture of Morocco, it’s recommended to spend at least 1 week or ideally 10 days. This allows you to explore vibrant cities, historical sites, the scenic Atlas Mountains, and the captivating Sahara Desert, providing a well-rounded and enriching travel experience.

How to get to Casablanca from Marrakech?

You can travel from Marrakech to Casablanca by train, bus, or car. The train, operated by ONCF, takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and offers a comfortable and scenic journey. Buses are another convenient option, with several companies providing regular services that take around 3 hours. If you prefer driving, the trip via the highway is approximately 2.5 hours.

Which is better Fez or Marrakech?

For first-time visitors to Morocco, we recommend Marrakech over Fez. With its lively Medinas, magnificent palaces, and busy markets, Marrakech offers a captivating introduction to Moroccan culture that makes it an ideal starting point. Though Fez boasts alluring ancient alleys and charm, its maze-like streets may be better appreciated after getting acquainted with the country in Marrakech. Both cities provide unique and enriching experiences, but Marrakech’s energy and sights give newcomers an unforgettable welcome to Morocco.

How long do you need to see Marrakech?

To see the main highlights of Marrakech, you typically need around 2–3 days. This allows you to explore the historic Medina, visit iconic sites like the Jardin Majorelle and the Koutoubia Mosque, experience the vibrant souks, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa square. If you have more time, consider a few extra days to relax in traditional riads and discover the hidden gems of the city.

Is it safe to travel in Morocco?

Morocco is generally safe for tourists. However, it’s important to exercise usual precautions, such as avoiding poorly lit areas at night and keeping an eye on your belongings. Additionally, be cautious of scams and follow local advice. Despite these precautions, the country is known for its hospitality, and most visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Our 5-day tour from Casablanca was amazing. The food was great (try the lamb!) and the accommodations were satisfactory. From natural scenery to city tours, we savored every moment in Morocco. The camel trek in the Sahara Desert and overnight stay in the desert camp were unforgettable highlights.
Many thanks to Moha and Ibrahim for arranging the entire trip; they saved us time and effort and made our journey truly enjoyable. If you’re looking for a travel agency in Morocco, MTT comes highly recommended.

This 5-day Morocco tour from Casablanca was a life-changing experience. Our guide and driver Hmad was incredibly knowledgeable. The hotels, riads, and restaurant food were all excellent. We stayed in safe areas where we felt comfortable taking evening walks after dinner. We learned so much about Morocco that we didn’t know before. This trip deepened my faith and perspective on life. I hope to visit again and would gladly book with Morocco Tabiarte Tours in the future.

My brother and I have just completed a five days in morocco with our tour guide/driver, Hmad. We had a memorable holiday and would highly recommend this Morocco travel itinerary. Our knowledgeable guide made our vacation to Morocco unforgettable. We have special memories of new friends, off-the-beaten-track places, and experiencing more of Morocco than we could have on our own. Furthermore, the hotels and riads were great, and Hmad’s restaurant recommendations were amazing. The weather forced a change in plans (snow in Tizi N’Tichka and Ifrane), but Hmad’s alternative was better than what we missed. It was difficult to say goodbye to Morocco, and we will certainly be back soon.
