I joined a 5-day desert tour starting in Casablanca with my best friend, and although it was a short trip, we packed in so much! We visited Fes, wandered the labyrinthine old city, then crossed the Atlas mountains into the majestic Merzouga desert. Our camel trek into the dunes at sunset was unreal—followed by mint tea, delicious tajine, and a night under a sky full of stars. The team arranged a very smooth travel itinerary, and even the long drives were enjoyable thanks to the comfortable vehicle and our wonderful driver, Said. We just returned from an amazing 10-day desert trip from Casablanca, and I’m still in awe. The tour took us from the north, Rabat, Tangier, Blue city, and Meknes to Merzouga desert and finally to Marrakech and Essaouira. What I appreciated most was how personal and flexible the experience was. We never felt rushed, had time to enjoy each stop, and even adjusted the schedule slightly to include a cooking class in Fes.
