❖ 1st Day: Land in Tangier » Rif Mountains » Chefchaouen "Blue Pearl of Morocco" (112km)

Welcome to Morocco! On arrival at Tangier Airport or Port, you will be met by your personal Driver/Guide and then enjoy an orientation tour of this fascinating Moroccan city, located on the coast where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean and the gateway between Africa and Europe. Begin the Cape Spartel and the Cave of Hercules afterward. Later on, head towards the blue city – Chefchaouen. Nestled high in the Rif Mountains, famous for its buildings washed in bright shades of blue, this is undeniably one of the world’s prettiest cities. The town derives from a Berber name chef chaouen which means look at the horns.

 Upon arrival, check into your Riad and then enjoy the rest of the day at leisure for individual exploration. Perhaps take a stroll through the ancient Medina and its winding alleyways, cobbled plazas and unique doorways, or simply sit at a café and enjoy the pleasure of time passing by. Say goodbye to Chefchaouen and make the journey to the fascinating Fes City. Along the way, stop to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis. This was once a provincial Roman capital, a distant outpost of the empire, and the remains make an undeniably impressive sight. Later-on, we move on to the former capital of Morocco – Meknes, also known as the Versailles of Morocco due to its impressive buildings and elaborate monuments. After a leisurely lunch, we travel on to Fes in the afternoon. Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world, and its Medina is a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights. Pass by Bab Mansour gate, beautifully patterned with zellij mosaics.

❖ 3rd Day: Guided Fes Sightseeing Tour

In the mid-morning, go on a half-day guided tour of the old town, known locally as Fes el Bali, a paradise of local handy-made craft work with colorful Moroccan styles, leather-work, metalwork. Besides, Fes is one of the world’s great centers of education and culture, both Islamic and Jewish. Your local guide will share stories of the city’s history as you walk through the twisting streets and epic alleyways, passing donkeys piled high with goods, and explore the specialty sections that divide the souk.

 The tour includes stops at the King’s Palace, the tanneries, Al Qaraouine university and the Attarine Madrasa. Today, embark on a scenic drive over the Middle Atlas Mountains through Giant pine trees, wind past olive groves, shepherds tending to their flocks and also Cedar Forests. En route, stop in Ifrane, a charming ski resort. Afterward, continue to Midelt via the Cedar Forest, where you may like to stop to see the Barbary macaques, which can often be seen roaming the forest in search of food. Later-on we head out towards the Erg Chebbi dunes located near the remote frontier town of Merzouga. It’s one of the world’s iconic landscapes, with towering dunes up to 150 m in height. As you approach Erfoud, admire views of the remarkable Ziz Oasis and vast valleys.

 Upon arrival at the destination, ride your camel into the Sahara Desert towards your campsite. A spectacular camp hidden away in the sand dunes of the Sahara. Here in this magical escape from the modern world, you’ll experience the true essence of desert life. Make sure to catch the sunset in the heart of the desert. After a truly stunning sunrise, freshen up and breakfast in your camp, depart Erg Chebbi dunes and set off on the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the gorge of Todra. Surrounded by towering vertical limestone cliffs reaching heights of 300 m to form one of the most dramatic and spectacular natural sights in Morocco. Moreover, it’s a popular destination for hikers, climbers and nature enthusiasts who come to discover the rugged terrain and enjoy the stunning views.

 There’ll be time to marvel at this sight before you continue your journey to Ouarzazate – the Hollywood of North Africa. Along the road of The Rose Valley and a Thousand Kasbahs. Best One Week in Morocco with Morocco Tabiarte Tours Team

This was by far the best planned tour to really explore and enjoy Morocco beauty! We had a blast each and every day with our knowledgeable driver/guide and fun in his presentation and introduction to Morocco to our group as new visitors to the country, however really got to know his group and offered additional points of interest during our stay. The views were outstanding! The meals were superb! All the planned stops were well-thought-out. Besides, Moha is very familiar with all things of Morocco! Unforgettable 7 Days Holiday in Morocco

Our whole family really enjoyed our 7 days holiday in Morocco from Tangier. Moreover, thanks to Hami and MTT Agency for memorable One week!

Moha is easy to talk to and also responds fast. Besides, He customized an itinerary according to our preferences and needs. Furthermore, it was very nice of Hami to show us around, and we learned a lot about the country from him.

We were able to go to 6 different cities during our one-week tour in Morocco from Chefchaouen, Meknes, Fes, Sahara Desert, to Marrakech. Last but not least, each city has lots of different beautiful scenery to offer, from the blue-washed buildings in the blue city to the largest old Medina of Fez.

Overall, we definitely recommend MTT to anyone who wants to discover the beauty of Morocco! This is one of the trips we’ll never forget and will be back soon.
